An Autumn Holiday and Wedding Planning

You may or may not have noticed that my blogging activity has been non-existent this month and I have a perfectly good explanation why! For me this has been a month of annual leave and weddings, I have been back to the UK twice both times for weddings, the first trip only 2 days but the second a whole 2 weeks which involved all of my favourite food, being a bridesmaid and booking my own wedding too! I am so excited, so I could not resist showing you a snapshot of my trip!

The first day of our trip David and I decided to spend some time to ourselves, which we also combined with a trip to a lovely patisserie in the search of macaroons, as we have never tried them and I want to before I attempt to make them! Alas, they had no macaroons but we did get some delicious cakes instead, I believe it was a chocolate mousse cake and a mille-fouille!

Spoiling ourselves did not even stop there, we then went to Wagamamas, my favourite Japanese restaurant for my favourite dish Katsu Curry, which I have had authenticated to taste just like the real thing when David visited Japan the next week!

Our week was then a healthy mix of wedding planning and eating all of our favourite food that we miss when we are away from Bournemouth, for example Nandos!

I was also so pleased to book our church, reception venue, photographer and cake this week. These amazing Cupcakes by Dominique left us with no doubt who we wanted as our baker!

To finish off our week we got to spend the day with 2 of our closest friends as they became Mr and Mrs Maple, I am so glad they asked me to be a bridesmaid and be part of their special day, I had the best time!

Then, for the second week David jetted off to Japan to visit a friend and I was left to my own devices, by own devices, I mean wedding dress shopping (I have bought it) and spending a lot of time with my best friend and her gorgeous little girl!

I also spent a lot of time with Billy, my Dad’s puppy but it was so much fun, I am not complaining! We went for walks around Ringwood, went to the carnival and even had a family photo shoot with Charlotte Marie Photography!

I had the best holiday, but it was hard work and I was actually looking forward to coming home to Berlin! As well as the home comforts I just could not wait to see David who had been in Japan. I was lucky enough to get a haul of goodies from hims trip when I returned, including these delicious, if not really weird, strawberry parcel things!

Now I am back in Berlin and back to my normal routine the baking will recommence and I will have some new recipes for you very soon!
