I always dreamt of decorating a babies nursery, even before the thought of actually having a baby was a reality, but I think the title of this post is a little misleading really. Tabithas nursery was a corner of our bedroom that has slowly turned into more like 50% of our bedroom now! We want to make sure that she has her own special things on show, keepsakes and toys given to her along the way. As a serial decorator/re-decorator the bedroom has already changed at least 3 times since she was born but now that it is finally at a point that we (I) am happy with, I thought I would share a few pictures of it with you.
I am not super girly myself and have been accused of dressing Tabitha like a boy once too often, but the colour theme for her ‘nursery’ are yellow, pink, white and grey. These will be the colours her room will be decorated when she finally has one of her own.
Her bedding was made by Jenny Wrencraft, a gift from us on her first birthday, if only she would sleep in it!
These shelves hold gifts and keepsakes from holidays or special moments of her life so far.
The top picture was bought by her Aunty before she was born from Mexico and the below picture is her first birthday cake topper framed with the wrapping paper we chose for her first birthday, you can get the cake topper from Lucy Rose Party.
Her wardrobe was adapted by hubby from my old bookshelf that we no longer really used and I really love how it looks, other than that all of the furniture and shelfs are from IKEA.
My favourite part of her space are the shelves above her chest of doors, all of the items are from Instagram shops and have been hand picked by us since she was born to suit her personality and I will treasure each one forever.
Top Shelf Left to Right: A gift for her birthday, Name Plaque from Fox Cub Designs, Rainbow Cloud from Three Little Tinkers, Cat Stacker from SarahandbendrixKIDS, Flashcards from This Paper Book.
Bottom Shelf Left to Right: ABC blocks from WhizzyPegs, Name Flag from This Paper Book, Print from Cubs and Co, Camera from Little Craft Company and Rainbow Stacker from Bear Cubs and Co.
I hope you love her little corner of our bedroom as much as we do. Let me know in the comments your favourite part of your babies nursery.
I have linked as many of the shops as I can below the pictures.
